Journal Club 1

On April 13th 2023, Cannaclub had its first Journal Club where members got to have a presentation about a cutting edge research article in the field. The article that was voted by Cannaclub members was “Biotechnological Fungal Platforms for the Production of Biosynthetic Cannabinoids” which explored growing cannabinoids with filamentous fungi instead of inside a Cannabis plant. Cannabis and Human History

In November of 2022, Cannaclub gave a presentation on the inexplicable link between cannabis propagation and the movement of ancient humans. In this presentation, we wanted to find out which came first, the chicken or the egg. Here is the link to our presentation.

Cannabinoids and Legalization

In December of 2022, we had a follow up of our previous presentation on human history and cannabis. This presentation followed 1930s history, and talked about what led Cannabis to become illegal, and how it has effected populations to this day. Here is a link to our presentation.
